ANGLO-HIBERNIA AREA SAFEGUARDING POLICY
As La Sainte Union Sisters of the Anglo Hibernian Area
we are committed to the policies of the Catholic Church
and those of the countries in which we minister.
The principles of the Safeguarding Policy are to recognise and uphold
the dignity and rights of children, young people and adults at risk,
to protect them from neglect, physical, emotional and sexual abuse,
regardless of gender, ethnicity, disability, sexuality or beliefs.
This commitment originates from the Constitutions of La Sainte Union
with the conviction that all are made in the image of God
and the Catholic Church’s common belief
in the dignity and uniqueness of every human life.
Likewise, it comes from the belief that every person matters,
and has the right to expect the highest level of care,
protection, love, encouragement and respect that can be given to them.
This policy applies to the Trustees, every sister of the Area
as well as all staff and volunteers who work with and for them,
in any capacity whatsoever.
